has it been a month yet????

It seems I usually post just once a month.......but I seem to be a little early this time.
Oh well......wanted to post a picture of the newest Tag I am in. It is called Dish Rag Tag the Sequel...there are teams of 12 all around the US knitting and sending packages as I type. I am have the fun of being with the RagOlympians. The box has come and gone from my house ....but look what I got......
The cloth was knitted by Tammie from KS and she added just the right notions that I needed to fill my gadget bag for traveling.....the cloth is such a pretty color and she has a good hand for knitting. The box is somewhere on the way to MI right now and the lady there has her hubby on the watch for the mailman. This is proving to be more fun than I thought.... will let you know if we are the fastest team when it is over.......

Meantime .........I have been knitting things that just make me happy. The LSSK gals are knitting for the Special Olympics in 2009. We are knitting or crocheting scarves for some of the athelics. This too is something that crafters from all over are helping with. I have knitted two ......

Then my best bud Vicki let me know about this new yarn.....it GLOWS in the dark........so of course I had to try it.....
this will be for Journey and I need to cast on for the next Grand-daughter that is heading our way. Haven't tried to take a picture of it glowing......but it really does!!

I finished up the newest of my VA Knitting carry alongs.....it my version of My So Called Scarf pattern......
I used Red Heart TLC Essentials in the Falling Leaves color way.....I am more than pleased about the way the color fell into place.

Alice, I have to tell you I am embarrassed that I didn't stuff more in the box! I feel like you got cheated after seeing what other people packed :( I had gotten you a gauge but it wouldn't fit in that little box. Anyways, I wanted to say sorry! Next year I will have a better idea of what else I could include!

Hi Aunt Alice! I love all your scarves and stuff I wish I had an ounce of your talent so I could be making some cute lil baby clothes for my little girl. I still think the ones you made me when I was an infant was just precious its in my keepsake box!

Aunt Alice ... so what in the world have you been up to??? You need to bring this blog up to date.

Yup ... keeping up with us seems to be about the numbers these days :o) But you know I am totally ok with it and love doing what i do. I was meant for the job and am grateful to be working for the seven of them.

I haven't ventured into the knitting world yet. Looks somewhat hard and complicated as does crocheting. I usually stick to cross-stiching, quilting (love hand-quilting) and scrapbooking. Maybe one of these days I will try and new hobby. When I have some free time ....
