Yesterday.....

I took the day off and drove to Austin to have lunch with my friends......met Nikki, Vicki, and Linda. We sat there for a couple of hours over lunch and caught up on most everything. What a great way to spend a day!! Of course none of us had a camera.......so you will just have to take our word for it.....FUN!!!

Now for some exciting news........

I have been known to test knit for a few designers.....so when Jean Townsend asked for testers I rushed to sign up.....I have done one of her's in the past so I knew it would turn out beautiful......so here is my version of her newest (?) shawl pattern.....
I used Red Heart Luster Sheen ....according to my scales.....15 3/8ounces worth. With a size 5 needle it came out to a 46 inche square.

Now I have been known to give away most if not all of what I knit.....but the verdict is still out on this one. It may just have to stay with me. Thanks for trusting me with the design Jean!!

Thats horrible ...people are so stupid:)
So since you are the genius of all things crafty and I know nothing... I want to make Cadence a baby blanket what would be the best way to go about that for someone who doesnt know how to knit or quilt... I am up for learning but I don't want to take a year making it... any suggestions?
